Abstract

In this study, optimization procedures based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm have been developed for the optimization of parameter viscosity in the redwood viscometer apparatus. Automatic controls of process variables are highly important in industries such as pressure, temperature humidity and viscosity. This study focused on utilization of an optimization system to obtain an optimum PID control settings for viscosity control. Process identification is done by considered input–output patterns and the identified model has been fined tuned by taking random input process using system identification tool box in MATLAB. A process is found to be a First order Plus Dead Time model (FOPDT). A validated model has been considered for closed loop analysis using PSO and results are highlighted at the end of the study.
