IoT-enabled Fault Alert Systems for Distribution Transformers: A Comprehensive Survey
Abstract
To improve the efficiency of the power distribution network, this article suggests a novel IoT
architecture for monitoring and managing distribution system of transformers. The framework entails
installing sensors and other devices that capture important operational indicators and transmit the
information to an IoT platform. A created web application can be used to control transformer
operation using the framework's alerts and commands. Continuous monitoring, prompt notifications,
longer transformer lifespan, streamlined troubleshooting, and enhanced customer service are benefits
of
this approach.
