Abstract

ABSTRACT

Generally, we know that Communication field occupy most of the applications in the world. And also, we know the fact that ¾th part of the earth’s surface is covered by the water. Thus in order to utilize our natural resources still more efficiently, we made a survey on underwater communication. Communication and monitoring of underwater environment have been long standing challenges in a vast range of applications that are enabled by underwater wireless communications. So, networks that enable underwater communication are called underwater wireless networks, underwater acoustic networks, or underwater acoustic sensor networks. Finally, this paper describes various techniques used in wireless communication in the present as well as in the past. It also analyzes its performance, speed, efficiency, energy consumption and its applications using wireless sensor network for underwater communication. In this research, simulation results is expected to enhance the End-to-End communication and network lifetime together suggesting potential development in the field of UWSNs respectively.
