Fire Detection and Control System

Yash Gandhi, Sparsh Palkhiwala

Abstract

This research proposes a low-cost fire detection and control system based on smoke and heat sensing. It is made up of a number of electrical/electronic devices/equipment that work together to detect the existence of a fire and inform people via audible or visual means once it has been detected. These alarms may be triggered by smoke detectors or heat detectors that detect fire. Smoke, heat, and flame are the three characteristics of fire that fire detectors are designed to detect. Aside from that, every fire detection system must feature manual call points (break glass) so that assistance may be sent immediately in the event of a fire. Microprocessor-based addressable analogue type fire alarm and detection system to be deployed in multiple buildings/areas to detect and provide alert signal in the main fire alarm panel in the central control room. The fire alarm will be echoed at the fire station's repeater alarm panel. The need of activating the residents by an alarm or bell during a fire is critical, and this can be accomplished with an alarm system. The Fire Detection and Control System indicates the room in which fire flare up, Sound the buzzer(alarm) if fire occurs. Furthermore, this system is sufficiently adaptable to allow for easy modifications in the event that new rooms are added to the structure.
