Single Phase Multistring Multilevel Inverter Topology for Distributed Energy Applications

C. DINAKARAN

Abstract

Distributed energy resources systems are little scale power generation used to give substitute arrangement or extra improvement of customary traditional electric power system. This paper is mostly focused on Single phase multilevel inverter for Distributed Energy Resources. The aim of this paper is to reduce switches with increase in multilevel outputs which intrinsically reduces the cost and harmonics. Seven level inverter requires six switches and thirteen level inverter requires 8 switches are carried out using MATLAB SIMULINK. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is analyzed for two types of multilevel inverter in MATLAB. In the micro grid system, the distributed energy resource (DER) based single phase inverter is generally embraced. Keeping in mind the end goal to decrease conversion losses, the key is to spare expenses and measure by uprooting any sort of transformer and in addition lessening the power devices.
