Abstract

Power generation is the dominant source of energy utilised to power human existence and practically all industries. The need for electrical energy is increasing every day because of increased urban expansion, resulting in an overabundance of traditional energy sources. The solar energy is the most dependable clean energy source. Solar PV system is well-developed technology for power generation with the help of solar power. The solar PV system depends upon various factors out of which PV material technology is one of the major factors. Many Photovoltaic technologies are becoming increasingly well-developed and accessible upon that marketplace. Out of these monocrytaline and polycrystalline technology are have most of the market share. Hence, in this present work performance comparison of monocrystalline and polycrystalline Si solar photovoltaic modules in Northern India (80°55'37.22''E and latitude 26°56'31.93''N Lucknow, Utter Pradesh). This study would helpful to select the SPV module for PV system installation in the northern part of India. For comparative analysis, we monitored the performance of both modules in the real environmental condition.
