Md Mahbubur Rahman, Mir Mohammad Nazmul Arefin

Abstract

Wheel is considered as one of the most important invention of mankind. After inventing the wheel, transportation system became easier. When motor vehicle was invented, a new era of transportation system has started. There are lots of inventions, modifications, changes has happened in the field of transportation sector. Now, a new era in vehicles sector has started since last few years. Most of the famous automobile companies are trying to manufacture Electric vehicles more efficiently. Electric vehicles have many advantages over the traditional gasoline powered vehicles. But still now, there are few challenges to fight with in electric vehicles. Electric vehicle charging has some crucial impacts on the electrical power grid. In this paper a simplified Simulation model will be discussed to analysis the charging impacts including the state of the voltage, current and power of the grid during charging period of electrical vehicles. The measured value of grid voltage, current and power delivered by the grid during EV charging will be compared with no EV charging condition to analyze the changes. This process will be done by varying number of EV charging to examine that how those values changes with different number of EV charging.
