Design & Implementation of Parking System based on Microcontroller

Abstract


The development of smart cities has become very trendy in recent years. The IoT gadget that is deployed on-site as part of the suggested smart parking system is utilised to track and signalise the existence of a particular parking space. This research introduces a coordinated IoT-based architecture for an effective and simple method of parking the automobiles by determining the slots' availability. The IoT module used to monitor and signalise the availability of a single parking spot is part of the proposed Smart Parking architecture. The paper also presents the conceptual model engineering from a different levelled approach. The research concludes by looking at how the framework functions in the form of a usage scenario that supports the validity of the suggested show. Arduino and the Ultrasonic Range Detection Sensor work together to show when a slot is empty. Drivers can locate an open space in a parking lot to park their vehicles by measuring the distance with an ultrasonic sensor. This allows the driver to discover the space more quickly and conveniently. Ultrasonic sensors are used to detect that the parking space is unoccupied and then report that information. Configuring the detectors and Arduino allowed us to accomplish this. There are several parking systems that are now in use that use sensors to gather data, but employing sensors like video sensors in a parking management system is expensive thus our goal is to develop a solution with less cost and enhanced efficiency.
