Communication Coverage in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks Using Pentagon Deployment Scheme

Asfandyar Khalid

Abstract

The field of sensors are not only limited to the field of academia, but they are also growing
exponentially industrially and domestically with certain social and economic advantages
(especially in harsh conditions). Sensors are now a cornerstone of our daily lives. The main
objective to bring sensors in the domestic and industrial field was to make life easier. The
world is now more advanced in technology and we can have more benefits in daily life from
this advancement in technology. One of the newest developments in the field of sensors is the
underwater sensors that too wireless sensors is critical. This deals with the node deployment
of the sensors such as random cube and most importantly pentagon deployment scheme and
will deal with the localization ratio of different deployment schemes and discuss the potential
results and outcomes of the pentagon deployment schemes. This paper focuses on the
fundamental differences between different deployment schemes along with the results of the
newly introduced pentagon deployment scheme. The 4 cases of doppler effect also help in
calculations.
