Optimal Allocation of SVC by JAYA Techniques in Power System Networks using IEEE-14 and IEEE-30 Bus System

Abhay Kumar Chaoubey, Ajay Shekhar Pandey, Varun Kumar

Abstract

Voltage stability in the electrical networks is crucial for secure operation. Voltage instability and voltage collapse, which are the fundamental issues in the power system, have become unavoidable recently because of their strained operations for rising load. The Static Var Compensator (SVC) has been placed in the best possible spot in this article using the JAYA approach. The voltage profile is maintained by using the JAYA approach and the optimal value of SVC at the ideal place. The findings demonstrate that by strategically placing the SVC Facts device into the power system networks, the overall voltage profile of those networks is boosted while remaining within acceptable bounds, and real power losses are decreased. IEEE-14 and IEEE-30 bus test systems are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested methodology from a voltage profile perspective.
