Abstract

In an effort to disprove the myth that hybrid motors are unaffordable, businesses are focusing on building cheap electric automobiles. Due to continuous transmission of mechanical vibration, exposure to high impact forces and also thermal runaway current Lithium-ion battery packs are prone to failure. To provide greater degree of protection against all of these great mechanical design and battery packaging can be done. Design elements like thermal barrier, selecting a best type of base plate and cover material of cell for making a module for a battery pack etc., should be developed with aim to vibration isolation in electric vehicle battery pack and to increase crashworthiness.
