Problems of Power Quality and their Improvement Techniques

Yogesh Bhutla, Rajendra Singh

Abstract

Power Quality Issues Have Become a Critical Challenge in the field of electric power utilities and power system engineers today’s Environment. The apparatus utilised in power distribution are much sensitive to perturbation in the supply lines. Two-wire (single phase), three-wire (three phase without neutral), and four-wire (three phase with neutral) are utilised in ac power networks with nonlinear loads. Electric power filtration has grown more active in recent years an Harmonic technology is well-established and correction for reactive power Harmonic phenomena and their system consequences are assessed by taking into account harmonic sources and issues that have existed for a long time, as well as a list of new and potential sources and their likely implications. This article addresses the issues raised, particularly as far as new energy control, energy patronage, and current power modification technologies are concerned. We will analyse some broad power quality issues and their possible solutions in this paper.
