Optical Sensor of Switched Reluctance Motor

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the importance of optical sensor in switched reluctance motor. It is used for turning on and off angles, as well as for turning on pulling the rotor to it. The optical sensor provides reliable rotor positions. The position measurements depend on the conditions of the operational environments. Optical sensor with robust structure and basic electromagnetic characteristics of a switched reluctance motor, can be used in many harsh environmental application conditions.
