Performance Analysis of Mobile Ad Hoc Network With Variation of Antenna Height Over Fading Channels

Abstract


Ad-hoc network does not rely on any preexisting infrastructure which is very helpful in disaster recovery situation and the place where the no pre-existing infrastructure or where rapid deployment of a communication network is needed. In this paper, the impact of variation of antenna height over different fading environment is investigated. For this purpose, Qualnet6.1 simulator has been used and the performance of wireless network by varying antenna height is evaluated. Simulation results in AODV protocol proposed the effect antenna height variation over fading environment on key network performance metrices i.e. average delay, throughput, jitter, and pdr. The results are showing various changes due to change in antenna height over different fading channels.
