Power control in wireless cellular network using QOS constrained convex optimization

Deeksha Kaila, Rekha Gupta

Abstract

For wireless cellular network with different QoS (Quality of service) constraints , a variety of power control problems with different objective functions and constraints can be formulated as non linear optimization. With the use of convex optimization they can accommodate realistic QoS constraints e.g. data rate, outage probability, throughput and SIR. In the high SIR regime these properties can be solved by converting into convex optimization problems in the form of geometric programming. Their globally optimum solutions can be obtained efficiently even though they use non linear constraints. In this paper , we have observed the effect of the variation in min. data rate on transmit powers and optimized rates
