Abstract

This study accounts for the problems existing in conventional methods for generating electricity and presents an overview of Renewable energy generation technology i.e., Photovoltaic (PV) energy. In this, a brief insight of speed control of Brushless DC Motors by using SEPIC DC-DC Converter in stand–alone PV system is given. As compared to the conventional converters, this SEPIC Converter has the capability to transfer energy of high efficiency from generator to the load and this operates in a continuous conduction mode to achieve the constant Output Voltage. In order to perform the switching Operations, PWM technique is used. By using MATLAB\ SIMULINK platform; this converter has been designed and the results show that the performance of the designed SEPIC Converter is better than the performance when compared to the other classical methods.
