Design & Implementation of IoT based Automated Water Pump Monitoring System

Abstract


Nowadays, the main challenge that human beings face is the responsible use of water resources. This is a big problem in cities. Scarcity of water affects over 40% of the world's population; reducing unnecessary water usage is imperative. The aim of this paper is to develop and implement a prototype of an automated water monitoring system that can be used to conserve both water and electricity in residential, industrial, and other institutions. A two-storied building with water monitoring, proper water distribution, and energy conservation has been considered for the prototype model. The implemented prototype has several features. GSM, water flow sensors, and Arduino have been used to help humans save water for future generations.
