Abstract

ABSTRACT

In this manuscript, A Close-packed tri-band multi input multi output antenna system with defective Ground structure for Electronic countermeasure application is proposed. Two monopoles are placed on the one end of the PCB and spaced 10mm apart. Near field of two identical monopoles creates mutual coupling that is reduced by placing metal strip (2x19) mm2 on the ground plane. The Projected Wang-formed DGS (Defective Ground Structure) of size (20x16) mm2 structure is placed on the ground surface, which helps to enhance antenna performance. In this way, Return loss (S11< -10dB) and mutual coupling (S12< -18dB) at resonance frequencies 2.453GHz (ISM band), 2.7855GHz, 2.9815GHz are attained. The perusal has been done by using CST Studio software.
