Abstract

This study proposes a methodology and guidelines for distribution engineers to show that by testing and auditing of DTs, a generalized computer program is used to evaluate any given DTs system. This results in improving the stability as well as energy handling capacity of the system at minimum cost. A distribution network is selected for rehabilitation on the basis of certain planning criteria such as voltage drop, power loss equipment loading a benefit/cost ratio, etc. For each selected network, a planning proposal for energy loss reduction (ELR) is prepared to achieve the desired benefits. Keywords: Power sector reforms in India, generation, protection of power transformer, electrical safety audits
