Abstract

ABSTRACT
In our everyday life, vehicles are in large numbers, the tollbooth seems to become bottleneck to pass through gates, the travelers pay an assured amount of tax all the way through toll plaza to the government. The national highways and bridges have toll gates, where people pay the charges for using the highways by waiting in the long queue, leading to unnecessary waste of time and fuel. Therefore, to solve this issue, this proposed system approach for automating the payments of toll without the use of toll plaza based on the distance travelled by the particular vehicle using the GPS technology. In the proposed work, the user is allowed to login into the system, the software updates the location of vehicle every time until it is on highway. The charges are deducted from the vehicle owners bank account based on the distance the vehicle travels.
