Abstract

There are various types of controllers are used to control the frequency deviation in the power system. Among those various types of load frequency controllers, the most widely employed are integral (I), proportional plus integral (PI), integral plus derivative (ID) and proportional plus integral plus derivative (PID) controllers. The gain of these controllers is adjusted to control the overall loop of load frequency control. Various techniques are used to find the suitable gain of these controllers, so that the error should be minimized.
