Y Parameter Circuit Model for Simulation Using Spice

Krishnapuram Kumar

Abstract

The short circuit admittance parameter (Y) models for simulating various electronic SPICE circuits having two port networks are developed. Both the polar and rectangular forms for the description have been taken into consideration. Examples demonstrating the model usefulness are given in the form of SPICE files. Spice2G sub circuits for two port S parameters which would be useful in rf design after converting Y parameters to S parameters are given. Similar techniques for simulation of two ports using Z, G, H, transmission and inverse transmission parameters can be developed by similar steps as is done to the Y parameters for a two port.
