Medical Image Fusion Enhancement Using DT-CWT Technique

LATA KUSHWAHA, Vandana Vikas Thakare

Abstract

Image fusion are revolutionized by the tremendous research being done in this direction. With the quick development in high technology and recent instrumentations, medical image fusion has become a mandatory component of a large number of applications consisting of diagnosis, research and treatment. The main objective of this paper is to fuse the images obtained from different sources of same scene or different images of same object into a single image. Due to the importance of medical imaging image fusion are used in the diagnostic system. Considered the brain as an example. In this, three algorithms are used to compare their performance on medical images. The performance of image fusion is calculated on the basis qualitative values.
