Abstract

ABSTRACT
The proposed work presents designing and development of a multipurpose smart robot to detect alive humans, fire, harmful gases, metals and obstacles at remote areas and send information to main location of army camp. The proposed system uses machine intelligence to provide immediate response from sensors. In case, if somebody comes within the range of robot, it can alert the user as it is equipped with sensors. Ability to execute the versatile tasks during night and rough areas makes it different from other robots. The whole system consists of two modes. One is the automatic mode and the other is user controllable mode. By default, a robot is in automatic mode and the obstacle detecting and ultrasonic sensor help in controlling the movement. During this time all sensors like human detection, temperature, gas detection, metal detection, obstacle detection and ultrasonic sensor are functional. When in user controllable mode, the user sends the signal to robot car using RF module and controls it manually. The user is able to watch the surrounding area with the help of built-in wireless camera in the robot car and can guide the robot to change the direction accordingly in case of any danger. In both the modes, user can hear the conversation among the people at the border areas with the help of microphone in wireless camera.
