Abstract

ABSTRACT
Presence of water distinguishes our planet from all others in solar system. Almost 70% of Earth’s surface is covered with water and from out of this only 2% is fresh. So, conservation of water is a very crucial factor for us. It can be observed that much of the water goes wasted because of improper management and negligence of humans. The supervision of the urban water cycle (UWC) is topic of increasing curiosity because of its social, financial and environmental effect. Although, the vital issue is proper and maintainable use of restricted water resources and consistency of service with adequate amount to its consumers. Climate changes are expected to yield local changes in water availability in the 21st century. These changes will directly have impact on the obtainability and excellence of fresh water for daily use. Therefore, it becomes essential to manage the available water in appropriate manner. In the local communities, where there are high chances of water wastage, it becomes essential to water level monitoring and manage which the avoid overflow from household tanks. In this paper, a novel idea is proposed which is IoT based, for management and control of level of the water.

Keywords: urban water cycle, water level management, Internet of Things (IoT), water conservation
