Mocking up of Thermal Power Plant for Better understanding of Load Frequency Control

shivank shukla

Abstract

The integrated power system consists of control areas linked by tie lines to each other. The loads of the generator, station, and device are determined by the summation of different outputs of the thermal converter. Frequency is determined by the instrument form of the frequency bridge. Because this data is fed into a master controller, it can sense the need for more or less generation and send impulses to the various stations calling for increased or reduced loads. The equipment can call for changes at the multiple generating stations by using the area requirement (proportional load control). They actually supply the load of their respective areas, thereby creating a minimum flow of power over link feeders from station to station.
