DOUBLE U-SLOTTED CIRCULARLY POLARIZED MICROSTRIP ANTENNA WITH DEFECTED GROUND STRUCTURE

Abstract


Double U-slot truncated patch antenna is designs and simulates frequency in microstrip patch antenna using Defected ground structures with co-axial feeding. This paper presents a circular polarized (CP) Double U-slot microstrip antenna with single band for wireless communications system application which is suitable for the 2.35 GHz single-band operations. Antenna design in double U-slot truncated patch in Defected ground structure. The proposed antenna designed on FR-4(lossy) with dielectric constant of 4.4 to fed the antenna, co-axial feeding technique with 50 ohm impendence has been adopted. The simulated antenna design shows an axial ratio of 0.2dB, 6.428 dB gain,-52.45 dB return loss, and bandwidth of 216.5MHz. The objective of this paper is to design a single fed circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna.
