A Research on IoT-Based Smart Raspberry Pi Devices for Child Safety

Kunwar Aman Singh, Neetu Sharma

Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the Internet of Things (IoT) with emphasis on enabling technologies, protocols, and application issues. In this paper, a system for increasing children's safety in school bus is proposed. In this paper work, I am trying to develop an application based on Internet of Things (IoT) with emphasis on enabling technologies, protocols, and application. The aim of this study is to develop a new research framework that is used to monitor or to secure kids in the school bus with the help of emerging technology like IoT. The main focus is on the daily route from home to school and vice versa, assuming the use of school buses. Our security system will have either type of chipset like Raspberry pi, Arduino, Banana pi based on IoT, connected to various sensors which gives alerts, instructions or warnings through a speaker attached to the IoT chipset which will help them to take actions in response. The basic premise is to have smart sensors collaborate directly without human involvement to deliver a new class of applications The Internet of Things is emerging the third wave in the development of the internet. IOT is expected to have a massive impact on consumer products, business and wider culture, but these are still early days IOT is the network of physical objects-devices, vehicles, buildings and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity-that enables these objects to collect and exchange data. We also provide an overview of some of the key Internet OF Things challenges presented in the recent literature and provide a summary of related research work.
