MOBILE GESTURE CONTROLLED MULTIFUNCTION ROBOT

Prashant Khatri

Abstract

We’re entering a new era of robotics technology that many are calling the Automation. The project is been modeled keeping in mind the controlling of robot for physically challenged as well as normal human being through gesture using Android mobile phone which is more popular in 21st century. It is designed to reflect the basic structure of the robot that can capable to move on ground with the latest technology of Arduino holding the capability of GPS and Camera Interfacing. The basic structure uses the Bluetooth V2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) 3Mbps Modulation with complete 2.4GHz radio transceiver method for the wireless transmission of signal from the Android Mobile phone to robot. The wireless communication enables the user to interact with the robot in more friendly way. Android Mobile phone having an accelerometer sensor which measures the tilting motion and orientation of a mobile phone that can used to control robot .The Robot having a self damage control system which include 4 analog IR sensor as well as Ultrasonic Sensor which made robot a Never falling and Object Avoider so robot can Self control and prevent from any harm to its own and self anti-theft system that include LDR and Buzzer. The Arduino Pro Mini is micro-controller board based on the ATmega328. 16x2 LCD is used to show monitor the robot status. Arduino is Connected to Bluetooth Module, Motor Driver, IR sensor , LDR, LCD and Buzzer .The above project is capable of tracking any object or human on connection with the GPS module. The above project deals with enhanced and simpler method of controlling a robot through gesture.
