Sachin Chavan, Sagar Mollah, Sunil Kumar

Abstract

Mirror is one of the multidimensional tool used by people of every age group in one way or other in their life, be it for self-grooming, practicing script or motivation oneself. As rapid innovation is the modern trends in every industry and more efficient methods are adopted while creating product to make product which are more reliable, cost efficient and customer centric. The product development can be taken in two ways first is to grow or change something into a more advanced form, something that has been adopted from an existing product or service and second is to invent something new or to bring into existence, something radically new [10]. To achieve the desired goals, industrial product design principles is one of the best methods to be adopted. This paper is divided into several sections which are used in product designing like mission statement, customer survey, function structure, quality function deployment (QFD) and in addition DFMEA was used as a analytical methodology to improve product quality. Result:-Industrial product design principle reduces the time and cost required for the product design. As tools like QFD shows Risk priority number in some of the cases are RPN = 200 and DFMEA shows percentage importance of 20% for few observations. This analytical data an observations helps to make more meaningful product that is ready to boom in market which can be synchronized with voice of customer.
