HR Competencies: Cognition of Multiple Constituents

Abstract


Globalize era also involves rethinking of corporate goals, and most importantly, empowering and challenging employees. Whatever be the strategy devised by the organization, the role of HR managers is revolutionized because of changing expectations of stakeholders with regard to HRM responsibility. HR managers are expected to play a strategic role in assisting the top management and equip themselves with greater competence than before. The objective of this study is thus confined to the Indian scenario, where Indian organizations are compared with foreign organizations located in India. The relationship between strategic, professional, administrative competencies and leadership competencies were regressed with effectiveness of SHRM. The stakeholders of different organizations of study prioritize the competencies in which Professional competencies play a vital role.
