An Overview of Spectrum Sensing Techniques in Cognitive Radio Network

Abstract


Cognitive Radio enhances the utilization of unused spectrum and globalized the radio environment for different band users that make use of several spectrum sensing techniques for transmission spectrum which includes spectrum usage characteristics across multiple dimensions such as frequency, space, time and code and determining what type of signals are occupying the spectrum. The existing works in spectrum sensing are reviewed, and important issues in dynamic spectrum allocation and sharing are investigated in detail.
