Comparative Analysis of Spectrum Sensing Technique in Cognitive Radio Network

Abstract


Cognitive Radio enhances the utilization of unused spectrum and globalized the radio environment for different band users that make use of various spectrum sensing techniques for transmission spectrum which involves spectrum usage characteristics across multiple dimensions such as time, space, frequency, and code and determining what type of signals are occupying the spectrum. In this project, cognitive radio spectrum sensing techniques are analyzed and Receiver operating characteristics of “Energy detection”, “Matched filter detection” and “Cyclostationary detection” for AWGN channel are compared. We have also analyzed receiver operating characteristics for different SNRs and Rayleigh fading channel.
