Vehicle Tracking System for Increased Security

ABSTRACT

The ability of tracking vehicles is useful in various uses together with safety of private vehicles, public transportation systems, fleet management etc. In addition, the quantity of vehicles on the road universally is additionally calculable to extend highly. Hence, the development of car tracking system by means of global positioning system (GPS) and global system for mobile communications (GSM) electronic equipment is accepted with the aim of supporting users to find their vehicles with comfort and in an exceedingly appropriate manner. The system will deliver users with the proficiency to trace vehicle remotely from one point to other by exploitation the mobile network. This paper represents the model of car tracking system’s hardware. Specifically, the system can utilize GPS to get a vehicle’s coordinate and transmit it exploitation GSM electronic equipment to the user’s phone through the mobile network. The main hardware parts of the system are GPS receiver module, GSM module and Arduino Uno microcontroller. The developed vehicle following system demonstrates the feasibleness of real-time tracking of vehicles and improved customizability, world operability and value compared to existing solutions. The idea will also serve the purpose of providing a relay output for in case of theft we can implement certain things accordingly.
