Abstract

ABSTRACT Nowadays, amajor problemwith variousindustrial sectors is gasleakage. This problem poses a potential threat to residential buildings and vehicles powered by gases such as Compressed Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas.In order to address this problem, one of the most suitable methods is to depute a gas leakage detection and prevention system at the vulnerable sites. This paper presentsdesign and the development of Electronic hardware that can automatically detect and stop gas leakage in the event of an emergency. Its core element is a robustgas sensor which exhibits higher sensitivity for both propane(C3H8) and butane (C4H10).Thismodule primarily comprises of aGas leakage detection system that incorporates a GSM modulethat detects and alerts the consumer or the concerned authority about the gas leakage.
