INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION USING ZIGBEE

Abstract


Automation is the need of the hour. With all the modern advancements in technologies, it is quite apparent that automating the things around us is the next under perspective. And one major area that requires to be automated at first sight is the industrial sector. Industries are the backbone of any nation and the economy will boost up only when the production facility at various levels is fixed firmly, and only way to achieve that is to automate the area. This paper discusses one way of doing this, via 802.15.4 Zigbee wireless protocol. The advancements over the existing PLC arrangements are also discussed.
